A/Prof Lisa Hui

Lisa was awarded her PhD in 2013 after undertaking research at the prestigious Tufts University in Boston under the mentorship of Professor Diana Bianchi. Her post doctoral research focusses on her special interests in prenatal screening and diagnosis, particularly the use of cell-free nucleic acids in the diagnosis of fetal abnormalities and prediction of obstetric complications. She was awarded an NHMRC Early Career Fellowship and a Sylvia Charles Viertel Clinical Investigatorship in 2016 and is an honorary research fellow in the Public Health Genetics Group at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. 

She is an editor with the leading obstetrics journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a regularly invited speaker at the annual scientific congress of the International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is an active member of the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis and a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Prenatal Diagnosis. 

Lisa is involved in RANZCOG activities through her roles on the Maternal Fetal Medicine subcommittee and the Women's Health Committee. She also sits on the Stillbirth Subcommittee of the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity, which is the advisory body to the Minister of Health, and is a member of the the Commonwealth Department of Health Zika Virus working party.
